Shape-persistent macromolecular templates for the formation of organic-inorganic hybrids

In nature,templates with precise architecture and composition are used to control the formation of biominerals.In this way,materials with exceptional properties and unique shapes are formed.Calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate are two of the most abundant biominerals.In nature,all three crystalline polymorphs,calcite,aragonite and the mestastable form vaterite are observed.
