摘要

The bleaching process, which is the fading of the fluorescence of dye molecules under continuous excitation can be used to analyse the specificity of the antibody-antigen reaction in immunological teats. The automated immunofluorescence measurement system based on the analysis of bleaching characteristics, which can be described by the formfactor (FM) beside the maximum fluorescence intensity (FI{sub}(max)), has been developed. These two parameters can be used in fluorescence imaging to detect rare events among nonspecific staining.
