摘要

As part of a government/industry request, Raytheon led a team of developers to design and build an initial Non-Lethal Weapons Effects testbed. During testbed design, we made the decision to make the testbed dual protocol capable- a RPR FOM-based HLA federation and a DIS simulation. Most of the existing defined interfaces do not have definitions for non-lethal weapons (specifically non-lethal directed energy weapons) and crowd behavior data. This required the testbed team to develop a modified RPR FOM as well as experimental DIS PDUs. This paper explains the design process of the Non-Lethal Effects Testbed Object Models from selection of applications to final integration before initial testbed operation. We will discuss the individual applications of this testbed and their individual requirements for HLA/DIS connectivity.
