Right-angle connectors for high-density patch panels and interconnects

A technology is described that allows singlemode and multimode optical fibers to be bent in radii less than 1 mm without significant increase in loss or long-term reliability. This technology is particularly suitable for the development of high- performance, low-cost right-angle connectors for high-density patch panels and interconnects.
