Optics education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels available at the Department of Physics and Applied Physics at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell is discussed. A brief history and motivation for establishing the program is presented. Also included are the undergraduate Optics Option curriculum, course requirements for the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees and a selection of both M.S. and Ph.D. dissertation titles.
