摘要

This study examines student and professor performance after a change in teaching style from lectureto Problem Based Learning and its relationship with student outcomes. We obtain evidence about thelimitations of the traditional methods and considerable improvements with the new style applied in abusiness master degree. Results show that the change clearly overloads students if it is notadequately planned and monitored. Marks, drop-outs and attendance were markedly better with thenew instruction method, but also with a higher workload. The main conclusion is that PBL methodimprove the results and satisfaction of students and also professors regarding traditional teaching. Insum, an analysis of assessment results suggests a positive and significant impact on student learning.
