A novel quasi-triangle comb patch prototype antenna is presented for bio-medical monitoring on body communication applications. The regular dipole and bow-tie shape are modified to a quasi-triangle comb shape. The proposed antenna is designed on FR-4 substrate, since it is small size, easily fabricated and low manufacturing cost. In antenna design, we analyze and simulate this antenna structure by using CST program. In order to verify the simulation results, the proposed antenna is realized and experimentally examined. In measurement, it is found that the proposed antenna has a return loss less than -10 dB has bandwidth covered the frequency range of 1.95–6.85 GHz. Nevertheless, the center frequency of proposed antenna is shift from original position equal to 200 MHz, the results compared in free space and on human body model which covered operating frequency with average gain of 3.5 and 3 dB at free space and on human body, respectively. The advantage of the proposed antennas is suitable for medical monitoring applications.
