摘要

Cycloisomaltooligosaccharide glucanotransferase (CITase; EC 2.4.1.248), which belongs to glycoside hydrolase family 66, catalyzes the production of cycloisomaltooligosaccharides (CIs) of varying lengths from dextran by intramolecular transglucosylation. CIs are strong inhibitors of glucansucrases [1]. Among CIs, cycloisomaltodecaose (CI-10, the number represents the number of glucose residues) showed inclusion ability prominently [2]. To date, CITase from Bacillus circulans T-3040 (BcCITase) is the only enzyme that has been characterized, which made us to screen the novel CITase-generating microorganisms.
