In this paper, inter-hemispheric and intra-hemispheric differences of multichannel EEG signals were investigated during different emotional states based on the nonlinear processing of EEG signals. For this aim, correlation dimension of hemispheres was compared as a complexity measure of the EEG signals. We determined the regions where the correlation dimension was significant between hemispheres using two-way ANOVAs with repeated measures test. According to our obtained results, the correlation dimension showed intra-hemispheric differences bilaterally between frontal and parietal regions during joy and sad emotional states.
