The Polysaccharide was isolated from the water extract of Bauhinia Malabarica and purified through ethanol precipitation, deproteination and by gel filteration chromatography. The molecular weight was determined by Sepharose -2B column chromatography. It was shown that polysaccharide consisted of glucose, xylose and galactose in a molar ratio of (5.8:3.9:1) respectively. The molecular weight was found to be 460,000 Da.
