We are currently working on the structural analysis of the transmembrane, region of fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3). Solid state NMR experiments were carried out to establish the dimer interface of transmembrane region with sequences of the wild type, the G380R mutant which is a partially preactivated mutant and the A391E mutant which is related to bladder cancer. The findings indicate that the dimer interface in the transmembrane region is distinct for each sequence.
