The importance of transferee competences dewelopment in the transition from Higher Education to actiwe life

With the objective of dealing with the challenges of first time job searching and with a successful transition to active life, the Student Support Service (SSS) of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (PIL) developed two training programs (with 9 hours each), entitled: Conflict and Stress Management, and Job Search Techniques, Curriculum Vitae and Portfolio Elaboration.The first program was intended to develop conflict management and stress coping Techniques, while the second program was based on the development of some job search techniques and job interview training.With this presentation we intended to explain the structure and the main results from the two programs. Globally, the programs where assessed in a very satisfactory way by 191 students.
