Development of Novel 8-plex N,N-Dimethylated Leucine (DiLeu) Isobaric Labels for Quantitative Proteomics and Peptidomics

8-plex DiLeu reagents were synthesized and successfully label the N-terminus of peptides. Deuterium atoms were stragegically placed in labels to minimize retention time shifts. Peptide quantitation/identification possible after DiLeu labeling. Quantitation accuracy and reproducibility can be improved with higher purity labels.
