Automated, Empirical Method Development for Solid-Phase Extraction of Pharmaceuticals from Biological Fluids for LC-MS/MS Analysis

An automated, empirical approach to method development was demonstrated. This provides for a broader screening of different potential extraction chemistries in a short time. Phase 1 experiments are readily performed concurrently for multiple analytes. For Phase 2 and Phase 3 experiments, optimization may be performed concurrently, assuming the initial selection of sorbent, loading and elution solvents is the same for each analyte.
