Through an efficient sample cleanup, HPLC separation and fractions mixing, we achieved the analysis of underivatized steroids from urine samples with unprecedented precision and accuracy. This, along with an enhanced control and isotopic correction of the IRMS system (optimized linearity and Isotopic calibration curve), permitted the routine analysis of the low levels of testosterone and both and rostanediols to obtain ΔTS-ERC ± 3σ within 3 ‰ and 4 ‰ for males and females, respectively.
