PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for classifying Artemisia species and the dried leaf of the Artemisia asiatica are provided to improve the distribution reliability of the dried leaf of the Artemisia asiatica by installing an objective verifying system with respect to the management of the dried leaf of the Artemisia asiatica.;CONSTITUTION: A method for classifying Artemisia species and the dried leaf of the Artemisia asiatica includes the following: Metabolome is extracted from an Artemisia sample. The extracted metabolome is analyzed using a gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(GC/MS) analysis. The result of the analysis is converted into statistically processable values. Based on the converted values, effective metabolome is selected and analyzed. The metabolome is statistically analyzed to classify groups for Artemisia species and the dried leaf of the Artemisia asiatica.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
