Liposoluble vitamins have been shown to have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that mammals use to protect against cell mutation and tissue damage. The extraction of these vitamins from biological and dietary supplement matrices prior to analysis with LC-MS-MS is problematic due to matrix interferences that can cause ion suppression and ion enhancement. This poster outlines a simpler, more effective, high throughput sample preparation method that utilizes the ISOLUTE SLE+ sorbent for sample cleanup to eliminate matrix interferences from serum and compressed pellets allowing for mass spectral detection of the target analytes at a concentration of 100 ng/ml or less with dramatic improvements in throughput and recoveries of >90% and inter-run %RSDs of <10 for all of the data sets.
