The results from this first two set of samples are consistent with those observed in our previous study. After completion of LC-MS/MS analysis of all the sets, differential expression of the most interesting proteins will be verified using independent conventional molecular biology techniques such as Western blot or immunohistochemical analysis. Differentially expressed proteins detected in tissue would serve as prospective targets in the eventual development of new RCC blood-based diagnostic markers.
