By applying this new feature, it was observed that the peaks are more centered within the acquired data windows for better identification and quantification, even under conditions of extreme, unstable column temperatures, different flow rates and varied mobile phase compositions. The narrow SRM time windows allow for longer scan times or more scans across the peak, leading to increased sensitivity, improved RSDs, resulting in better quantitative results than with the use of the static time windows. The dynamic nature of this feature prevents the need to run an additional LC-MS/MS run for reference compounds to apply the retention time correction. The real-time retention time correction provides an efficient tool to identify and quantify a complex mixture containing a large number of compounds with improved quantitative results and without the concerns that the peaks will shift out of the window.
