摘要

APGC is a highly sensitive and specific ionization technique for all compound classes encountered in petroleum biomarker analyses by the exploration geochemist. High and low collision energy mass spectra are obtained simultaneously. The high energy spectra exhibit fragment ions comparable with conventional EI spectra, but the low energy spectra have the advantageous enhancement of parent ions to permit identification of labile compounds. The technique enables accurate mass determination. Consequently, accurate biomarker analyses can be obtained on a whole crude oil, with no need for costly and time consuming traditional preparation. Routine organic geochemical interpretations, such as whether an oil or source rock is terrestrial, lacustrine or marine, are immediately available.
