A SILAC Study of Neurofibromatosis: Evaluating the Proteome of Tumor specimen and Nf1-/- Primary Cells

Using the SILAC method has allowed us to confidently quantify 327 secreted proteins in established Schwannoma cell lines and 136 protein in primary Schwannoma cell cultures derived from patient sample HuTu63. Through our work, we have found potential biomarkers distinguishing malignant peripheral nerve sheet tumor from potentially benign tumor.
