Using a Comprehensive Gas Chromatographic Retention Index Collection to Aid Compound Identification by GC/MS Data

GC RI Database and its Search Program can be as valuable as mass spectral DB for: (1) Method development; (2) Identification of compounds in the Database; (3) Identification of unknowns through structure similarity. The Search program is: (1) Simple to use; (2) Provides maximum flexibility for searching Database; (3) Allows for control of extensive amounts of data. RI Database and Search Program create a greater awareness of Retention Index data and its utility. Search Program provides calculated RI values from structures.
