Stimulation of the nervous system is an increasingly relevant topic in pain medicine as well as other areas of neurosciences. Current studies include the use of these devices for the treatment depression, obesity, traumatic brain injury and post stroke paralysis. This section will focus on stimulation of the spinal cord, peripheral nerve and peripheral nerve fields for treatment of pain.
