Determination of Catechins in Tea by using Derivatization with a Direct Analysis in Real Time source equipped Mass Spectrometer

摘要

The simple method developed in these experiments allows for the detection of important compounds that are normally suppressed by others, either due to abundance or greater ionization efficiency. Further method development would allow for the type, quality, age, or origin of tea to be determined by using the ratios of the derivatized catechins.
