High-Throughput Analysis of Pesticides in Dietary Supplements by Gas Chromatography Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry

This presentation focused on a relatively fast analysis of two dietary supplements for their pesticide content. By using standard mixtures to create a reference, the target analytes were easily found. The overall analysis time was decreased through the use of relatively fast chromatography combined with time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Due to the mass spectrometer's fast data acquisition rate, components can be identified without being chromatographically resolved. Automated spectral deconvolution combined with advanced data processing techniques resulted in a fast overall sample screening for pesticide content.
