This analysis has provided a comparison of urinary and circulatory metabolites after a single dose and after repeat dosing (steady state conditions). UPLC-MS was capable of resolving up to 30 metabolites in a 8.5 minute analysis. Accurate mass UPLC-MS/MS was successful in identifying the major metabolites from non-radiolabelled test compound. No additional metabolites were found in subsequent radiolabelled studies. UPLC-MS enabled the detection of minor metabolites that could not be detected by radio-HPLC. Information on species-specific metabolites to support clinical observations were obtained without the need for additional sampling or studies.
