摘要

In this study, both the Ni-P electroless plating process and PTFE (polytetrafluoroetylene) brushing method were used for the deposition of Ni-P-PTFE composite coatings. After preparation of PTFE suspension, first the pretreated steel substrates were brushed with it and then were plated in commercial Ni-P electroless bath. The process was done periodically to obtain the favored thickness. Techniques such as SEM (scanning electron microscope), EDAX (energy dispersive analysis of X-rays), optical microscopy and micro-hardness testing were employed to investigate the effects of some factors such as thickness and deposition rate. Tribological properties were assessed using pin-on-disk test. The results show that, the friction coefficient of this coating decreased in comparing with electroless coating of Ni-P up significant value.
