Supercritical fluid extraction is a promising method to manufacture the diet food from the fatted material because supercritical carbon dioxide is not toxic solvent It is necessary to obtain the phase equilibria data to develop the supercritical extraction process. Palm oil and palm kernel oil is widely used to make fatted food In this research, phase equilibria date palm oil or palm kernel oil with supercritical carbon dioxide were measured in a circulation type apparatus at 8,5 - 24 MPa and 33.3,15 - 373,15 K. N-hexane was used as a solvent to collect oil for quantitative analysis The quantity of palm oil and palm kernel oil in n-hexane were analyzed by UV spectrophotometer The experimental data were correlated using the Peng-Robinson Equation of State (EOS) with the van der Waals mixing rule for the binary interaction parameters The Peng-Robinson EOS described well the phase equilibrium data of the palm oil or palm kernel oil - carbon dioxide system.
