In the present work a commercial catalyst (Rh(CO)2(acac)) has been used for the hydroformylation of 1 -octene in scCC^ in the presence of non-fluorinated ligands added to improve the selectivity and the normal :iso ratio for aldehydes Diphenyl-pam-tertbutylbiphenylphosphine (TFFPF2) both nude and included inside triacetyl-/?-cyclodextrin was used. Both these compounds have been found to be fairly soluble in SCCO2 The effects of ligands on the performances of the catalytic system have been investigated and preliminary results will be presented.
