KNOWIT: AN EXPLORATORY KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT ARCHITECTURE FOR CARIBBEAN CRICKET

Several empirical studies suggest that knowledge management systems (KMS) can assist contemporary organizations in their efforts to address some of the complex problems that they face. This paper addresses how the management of knowledge systems can assist Caribbean sport organizations, in particular Caribbean cricket organizations, to improve business value and achieve winning advantages. To date this issue does not appear to have been addressed by the research community. We present, KnowIT, an exploratory KMS whose purpose is to address some of the important problems facing Caribbean cricket organizations. The parsimonious architecture supports an intuitive user interface with various forms of knowledge representations that ranges from 2D texts to 3D models supported by personalization and codification knowledge repositories.
