The paper presents an initial attempt to analyze organizational restructuring phenomenon through the resource dependence perspective. In particular, it is proposed that as organizational restructuring occurs, the feeling of dependence upon someone among employees has shifted because the power in allocating resources has shifted from one person to another. The case of educational reform in Thailand is used to explain the proposed relationships.
