The original Triaxial accelerometers consist of three individual accelerometers mounted in a single housing. This limits the reduction of the size and also means that the three masses have different points of reference. In this work, a newest triaxial accelerometer using a slightly modified unit-mass design is presented. The new accelerometer has much smaller size and much better properties than both the original triaxial accelerometers and unit-mass ones.
