摘要

A sandwich panel with a three dimensional metallic open-cell lattice core and two composite carbon/epoxy faces is investigated with respect to static and dynamic failure behaviour. The mechanical properties of open-lattice structure constructed by stainless steel material are investigated by linear FE analysis. For the non-linear static response, material plasticity and its effect on buckling behaviour of struts in the cellular core are investigated by analytical and semi-analytical methods. The dynamic response of the sandwich structure in a low velocity mass-drop impact loading is simulated by non-linear dynamic FE analysis.
