Peptide Nucleic Acids (PNAs) are oligonucleotide analogues with a polyamide backbone based on aminoethyl-glycine .[1] They are able to interact with complementary sequences of DNA and RNA with high affinity and selectivity.Many PNA analogues have been described in recent years with the aim of improving the binding properties [2].One of the most interesting modification is the introduction of one or more chiral center in the PNA backbone [3].
