Innovative biocompatible immunoadsorbents containing immobilized selective glycopetide antigens for multiple sclerosis therapy

The glycopeptide CSF114(Glc),containing a beta-D-glucopyranosyl moiety linked to an Asn residue,was selected because of its binding properties to auto-Abs putatively involved in the pathogenesis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS),an inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system.We demonstrated that the specificity of the auto-Ab recognition is independent from the peptide sequence,but it requires the presence of Asn(Glc).
