摘要

The paper discuses the results of physical simulation of the CZ growth of semiconductor single crystals in an axial magnetic field. Main attention is paid to the mechanism of the melt flow instability (the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability) induced by the crystal and crucible rotation in an axial magnetic field. The paper reports on the data for the critical Reynolds number conditioning the transfer from an axially symmetric flow to an axially asymmetric quasi-2D flow of the melt.
