EVALUATION OF SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIAE I-1079 AS A POTENTIAL ALTERNATIVE TO ANTIBIOTIC GROWTH PROMOTERS FOR PIGLET FEEDING

摘要

Several range of feed additives have been extensively used in swine diets : antibiotics, micro-organisms, growth promoters minerals, enzymes, organic acids... The feed formulators used to select its additive source with classical criterias of animal performances such as growth feed conversion, reduction of infectious mortality or morbidity ; respect of the consumer safety (no residue in the meat), respect of the environment, absence of risk of proliferation of resistant pathogenic bacteria representadditional criterias which become increasingly important for the feed industry, the regulatory authorities and the consumers.
