In the fifth grade of the HTBLA/Wels outstanding students of our mechatronics branch get the opportunity to graduate from school not only by passing the general school leaving examination called Matura, but they are also offered the chance to work on a diploma thesis, thus acquiring the title HTL Ingenieur after three years of work [1]. Every diploma thesis is written by a group made up of two to four students and is supervised by one ore more teachers and sometimes by expert-technicians from cooperating industrial companies. The aim of this particular diploma thesis was to build a parallel structure robot with an optimized workspace ratio.
