Underground depository (storage) of nuclear waste presents an excavation in the rock massif which disturb a natural stress state of ambient rock. The acoustic emission/microseismic activity (AE/MA) observation method is proposed for the remote monitoring of stressed state. Two kinetic approaches for the simultaneous interpretation of AE/MA observation data were proposed. As was shown the use of these approaches permits one to evaluate accumulation of stress in the ambient rock and bearing elements of underground NW depository as well as forecast their long-term behavior.
