This note illustrates some of the results obtained by us during recent research on developing mono and bienzymatic OPEEs (organic phase enzyme electrodes). Several of these are already mature biosensors (e.g. tyrosinase and catalase OPEEs and those for phosphatidylcholine and butyrylcholine determination) and applications have already been implemented or are in progress, while, as described in the text, other OPEEs (e.g. the one for superoxide radical analysis) and other applications are still at the experimental stage. New correlations are also illustrated between classical indicators, e.g. the logP value of several organic solvents and new empirical indicators, the values of which may be monitored with the biosensor considered dipping directly into the organic solvent.
