An experience in the preparation of teachers in Educational Informatics

The computer can help create a manageable environment for focusing on skills. But these skills need to be applied in a new environment if they are indeed to be learned. Transfer of learning from one situation to another is not automatic. It requires teacher's direction for capitalizing on the instructional potential of computer. One most critical problems, is the preparation of teacher for this role. During five years, we have worked in this direction. We have developed a Master in Applied Informatics which includes an module of specialization in Educational Informatics where the teachers develop knowledges and abilities to introduce the computer in the teaching learning process with a systemic approach. The present paper shows our experiences in this field.
