Cars with drive systems based on Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC) offer considerable advantages with respect to energy usage efficiency as well as emissions. To avoid the difficulties of the hydrogen storage a system is useful that produces the hydrogen on board by methanol steam reforming.
