High order weighted ENO schemes for unstructured meshes: preliminary results

In this presentation we give our preliminary results in the construction of high order weighted essentially non-oscillatory (WENO) schemes on two dimensional unstructured meshes (triangles) in the finite Volume formulation. We present the third order schemes using a combination of two-dimensional linear polynomials, and the fourth order schemes using a combination of quadratic polynomials. Numerical examples are shown to demonstrate the accuracies and the robustness of the methods for shock calculations.
