In this paper, there is an attempt to introduce a new strategy for the Tone Reservation (TR) technique based on Pre-conditioned Conjugate Gradient (PCG) algorithm to reduce the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in multi-carrier modulations. This strategy allows to limit the non-linear distortions that appear in multi-carrier signal Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and to measure signal fluctuation level. The TR method exploits the null sub-carriers for generating a corrective signal, in the Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial (DVB-T) to reduce the PAPR. To evaluate our model, a complete transmitter WiMax 802.16e is used in order to investigate the PAPR reduction performances on presence of the non-linear Power Amplifier model. Our results show that TR method based on a PCG algorithm considerably improves the transmission quality, in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) and Error Vector Magnitude (EVM).
