The controller architecture for an autonomous mobile robot isconsidered. First, the controller is divided into a behavior level and afunctional level. The interface of these levels are discussed and theconceptual architecture for the autonomous robot are proposed. Thespecial feature of this architecture are `functional distribution' and`centralized decision-making'. The multi-processor architecture forrealization is also proposed
