A turnkey software system for the introductory electricalengineering curriculum is described from a user's perspective. Thesystem, Circuit Master, provides a structured, interactive, menu-drivenenvironment that allows students to explore basic concepts in circuitand signal theory, without requiring a background in computerprogramming. The system's interactive user interface and unique visualpresentation format simultaneously display relationships between circuitcomponents, pole-zero patterns, Bode plots, initial conditions,input/output signal waveforms, and input/output signal spectra, forperiodic and aperiodic signals. It features simultaneous display ofinformation for two sets of circuit components, thereby allowingphysical relationships, parametric changes and sensitivity issues to beexamined in a fast, interactive environment
