摘要

We present examples of nanowire synthesis by chemical vapor depoisition. The first example is Fe nanowire for spintronics applications. Fe nanowires with bcc crystal structure were grown by reaction of FeCl_2 with H_2 gas. The diameter of the nanowires can be made smaller when it is grown at lower temperatures. The bcc-fcc transition temperature seems to be lowered when the diameter is smaller than 100nm. Magnetic properties and magnetoresistance were measured. The second example is M0S2 nanowires grown with Fe nanoparticle catalysts. The size and the shape of the catalyst nanoparticles determines the product - MoS_2 nanowires or SiO_x nanowires.
