In this paper, we evaluate the optical properties of low-loss Y-branched multimode polymer optical waveguide couplers with graded-index (GI) cores fabricated by different methods: the Mosquito method and the imprint method in order to apply them to coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) transmission. We confirm the low insertion loss of those waveguides regardless of fabrication method in a wavelength range from 850 to 1060 nm for CWDM. Furthermore, we succeeded in transmitting a 26 Gbps signal through the GI waveguide at 850-nm wavelength.
