This study provides the assessment of how generation-Z students gain their understanding from classroom, from self-study or group-study at one university in Thailand. The assessment was done through a survey in four required engineering courses and analyzed using correlation and linear regression. The results illustrate that students ignore the lectures while understanding likely increases with classroom attention. This shows the need to change classroom activities to better serve students' learning style.
