The biggest challenge with catalyst regeneration is to take a catalyst that was developed for a particular fuel and modify to meet modified operating requirements. Understanding of the fuel to develop the catalyst to meet the performance requirements of the catalyst, is the major challenge of the catalyst regenerator. For the end user of the catalyst, An understanding of operating variables and the effect these variables have on the performance of the catalyst is critical. This includes the types of testing and the limitations of this testing.
